The Museum Ethnographer’s Group – Blog and Conference

The British-based Museum Ethnographer’s Group has a revamped blog, through which one can read about projects, exhibition reviews, and get announcements of student grants, research funds and so forth.
The Group’s Annual Conference and AGM will be held in Edinburgh, 16-17 April 2012. There are a range of international speakers and papers addressing the conference theme ‘Multiple dialogues: interpreting ethnographic collections in the 21st century’.
Individual sessions include: Beyond the Exhibition, recording voices and thoughts; Author and Authority: mediating multiple voices; Artefacts in conversation: art as an interpretive tool; Dialogues across time and space as well as a work-in-progress / research notes session.
